Alan D Ok typical western fair that tells the oh so favorite and straightforward story of ranchers and cattlemen struggling over land and water. Nothing unusual here. Of course, the good guys and bad guys are clearly set apart - just like the real old west. Well, the Hollywood old west at any rate. Gail Storm, a favorite actress of mine, is the not so helpless woman of the west who joins with the good guys to try and bring justice to the little struggling town where a lot of the tension takes place. Of course, Gail and the male lead become entangled and emotions run high as friends and family are under the gun as the story develops. The black and white film looks good on tv, the sound is good, and the acting competent. The somewhat hackneyed script is predictable, but a few unexpected twists keep it interesting. The story moves quickly with few distractions. An entertaining film for a Saturday night where tension and confusion are not welcome guests.
