Federico Furzan Movie-Blogger.com The Dunes is more contemplative than what its premise calls for. Copping’s decision to make two films into one is clever, as it proves his ability to do drama and also works as a backdrop for a compelling personal journey. Rated: 4/5 Aug 29, 2024 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com The Dunes is an absolute blast to watch. Rated: 3.5/4.0 May 17, 2024 Full Review David Griffiths Subculture Entertainment A great indy crime thriller brought together by an intriguing plot and wonderful acting performances by Copping and Phillips. The Dunes also shows that Copping is a director to watch. Rated: 3.5/5 May 16, 2024 Full Review Annette Basile FILMINK (Australia) ... a subtle but very real atmosphere of foreboding, lifting The Dunes into quality genre filmmaking territory. Rated: 14.5/20 Apr 22, 2024 Full Review Alejandro Turdó Hoy Sale Cine The Dunes is a totally ominous Thriller, creepy and intriguing enough to keep the mystery going strong until its very shocking end, even though the path offered to take us there may not be free of a few mishaps. Rated: 6/10 Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com The twists of the plot stay with you even after the movie has ended. Rated: 6/10 Apr 16, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Laurence d No idea why this film so highly rated. Dull and mediocre Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/25/24 Full Review Aiden R I was told to watch it and I wasn't disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review that g The Dunes is a masterfully crafted movie, pulling you into the world of Nicholas Rice... he is as normal as you and me. Still, you feel every moment of anticipation and anxiety in this psychological thriller where the actors do the hardest acting of all, not being a superhero but an everyday person thrust into the midst of angst at its most extreme mental points. I would and will watch it again!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Tammy N The cinematography on this movie is amazing. The music score goes very well with the pace of the film. The movie is a suspenseful drama that builds slowly over the course of the film. Martin does a good job portraying Nick. This movie has some twists that are unexpected. It was great seeing a cameo by Stumpy and really awesome to see Roundy. Highly recommend! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/22/24 Full Review Sarah Michael N The suspense! These actors did an incredible job of slowly unfolding a wildly unexpected thriller. I may not ever recover from the story, which was layered to perfection. Bravo to the writer as well! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/06/24 Full Review Jamie R The story had a heap of potential but I think the majority of the film's budget went in to filming some establishing scenes in LA. Overall the story line is very predictable with weird plot holes (like he's home to see his dad yet barely sees him) and the detectives who grill him at his house over the finding of a body in the garden are two of the most cliched performances of pretend police I've ever had the misfortune to witness. Just totally odd. Add to that some of the cinematography looks extremely cheap (the mother drinking with her kids scene at the beach in particular) and the audio is hard to make out in parts. This is a movie that ‘potentially' could've been really good but instead, it looks like it was put together by a bunch of year 12 students trying to pass their media studies subject. Even the twist at the end is super lame and I'm not sure the bad guy holding the ashes really gives off the sense that maybe the bloke he'd knifed a week earlier shouldn't have been offed. Do yourself a favour and watch something, anything, else 👎 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Read all reviews
