In 1993 after teenage Cameron is caught in the backseat of a car with the prom queen, she is sent away to a treatment center in a remote area called God's Promise. While she is being subjected to questionable gay conversion therapies, she bonds with some fellow residents as they pretend to go along with the process while waiting to be released.

A menos que uno este en la época de descubrimiento pre adolescente o que te parezca demasiado linda Chloe Moretz no hay muchas razones para ver esta película. Bastante lenta, aburrida y predecible; cuando finalmente pasa algo para que la trama avance (y uno se despierte) termina. Así, de una. Fin.

Approaches the subject of “treating homosexuality “ with sincerity, compassion and staying away from any cheap shots. The different actors embody their characters convincingly. Unfortunately, child abuse in similar centers continues to happen.

Cameron Post does a great job pulling out these characters humanity, in a convincing fashion. It's very well cast with a mix of fresh faces and under-utilized, good actors. It's not the most feel-good movie, but it is very well done and does keep you invested throughout. It's definitely intriguing to the point that if you want to feel a sense of meaning while checking off a top-tier indie, then you should check out Cameron Post.
