Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard Cameron - the kind of cool kid who'd use the word "cool" with caution - fits Moretz like a glove. Rated: 4/5 Sep 12, 2018 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times This exquisite, bittersweet sophomore effort announces Akhavan as a major talent. Rated: 4/5 Sep 10, 2018 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Akhavan plays it with poignant wit, zest and a lusty sense of defiance, combining the bonding charms of a brat-pack crowd-pleaser with the psychological terrors of a prom-night horror flick. Rated: 4/5 Sep 9, 2018 Full Review Calum Cooper Source (Scotland) Add it all up and what we have is a coming-of-age tale as emotionally resonant as it is brutally important. Rated: 4/5 Jul 14, 2024 Full Review Ben Turner The Pink Lens While Moretz is at her best, this really is the Akhavan show, whose work here is accomplished, measured and rock-steady. Rated: 4/5 Sep 1, 2021 Full Review Milana Vujkov Lola On Film Nail[s] the intricacies of emotional abuse in such terrible detail, while muted by pastel colours of Akhavan's narrative zaniness. Alain E Approaches the subject of “treating homosexuality “ with sincerity, compassion and staying away from any cheap shots. The different actors embody their characters convincingly. Unfortunately, child abuse in similar centers continues to happen. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/24 Full Review Audience Member Esse filme calmo e ao mesmo tempo forte nos faz refletir sobre as situaçoes que passamos como provaçao sendo homossexual, o filme é lindo e intrigante sem ser apelativo demais. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/27/24 Full Review Nashville I Cameron Post does a great job pulling out these characters humanity, in a convincing fashion. It's very well cast with a mix of fresh faces and under-utilized, good actors. It's not the most feel-good movie, but it is very well done and does keep you invested throughout. It's definitely intriguing to the point that if you want to feel a sense of meaning while checking off a top-tier indie, then you should check out Cameron Post. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Lily R I absolutely hated this movie, and that's why it's so brilliant. It perfectly conveys the horror that is emotional abuse, and is not for the feint of heart. It is designed to make you hate it. You will despise the emotions you feel when you watch this movie, but those emotions are so, so important to be shown because conversion camps are a truly horrible thing and they hurt teens everywhere. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/20/24 Full Review Fel L These kids are so scared, that no real conversations are established. You, like, watch and experience their pain but have nothing at your disposal to resist. It made me feel defeated.
