Maggie Lee Variety Kim Ji-hoon overdoses on visual fireworks in a way that smothers any human drama mustered by the sprawling cast, whose marquee names are treated as mere icing on the cake. Feb 1, 2013 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times "The Tower" may be skillfully executed as an effects-laden opus, but its miniature portraits in courage are ultimately too jerry-built to feel like anything but filler between the combustive set pieces. Rated: 2/5 Jan 10, 2013 Full Review Michael Nordine Village Voice Even at its best, The Tower is beholden to unearned emotional payoffs. Jan 10, 2013 Full Review Wesley Lovell Cinema Sight In this Korean adaptation of "The Towering Inferno," audiences will find an engaging and entertaining disaster flick with a modest modern sensibility. Rated: 3.5/4 Dec 16, 2020 Full Review Tara Judah Overland Ta-weo is surely the stupidest film I will see all year so I won't spend too much time explaining its Swiss cheese plot. Jan 8, 2019 Full Review Mark R. Leeper Mark Leeper's Reviews Don't look for character development or deep meaning, but THE TOWER is a real roller-coaster ride. Vale apena assistir? Sim Nota: 7 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/23 Full Review christopher c. m It happens during Christmas but that doesn't make a Christmas movie since the holiday doesn't play any part in the story, "Die Hard" had more to do with the holiday. This has a "Towering Inferno" vibe to it, with a lot of the same beats to it But there are a ton of unlikable assholes in the movie. The CGI is very impressive. Fire and water seem to be the hardest thing to do and look real in CGI. They pull it off pretty well. It looks like real life not something "Jump Man" from "Donkey Kong" would be putting out with a hammer for 200 points. Far from perfect but pretty watchable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Don't go into this movie wanting some serious storytelling or deep meaning. It's just a super fun and entertaining movie about stuff blowing up. The explosion shots are really really really amazing! It's just good entertainment. Got exactly what I expected. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member If you loved the Towering Inferno this is a must see. It starts off a little slow introducing the characters but once it starts buckle up!!! You will need to turn on your CC for English but the story gives you time to read and watch. Action is non stop and shows how the arrogance of Upper Management will get people killed!! Great picture if you like disaster films. Special shout out to the little girl in the film she steals the movie!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review johnny r One of the best disaster movies ever made. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Really good. You might wonder how much action there can be with a building getting hit by a few helicopters. Well, they found a way to pack a whole bunch of it in this movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
