Alden L Oct 30 First off, the entire title is “Time Rider:The Adventure Of Lyle Swann”. Most importantly, missing from the credits is Michael Nesmith. Yes. From The Monkees. He Co-Wrote, Co-Produced, Co-Directed, AND wrote the score, which IMHO, is worthy of the watch alone! The story is an interesting tale of time travel. Love the whole concept! Cult classic for a reason folks. Give it a spin. You’ll be glad you did! See more Oly A 08/02/2023 Yes. It had some awful 80's music. But, the plot was different & interesting - it kept us interested. Very much similar plot to THE TERMINATOR but with Cowboys. Fred Ward was great but his character didn't understand that he was in a different time zone a bit too long and that was annoying. I would watch it again. I would like to see this one again with my friends. :-) See more 01/03/2020 This was an instant cult classic for me when I saw it in theater in 1983. I was taken with the music and concept and it was my intro to Fred Ward. Peter Coyote was a nice perk that elevated it to what I always loved about old spaghetti westerns growing up. The scenery is breathtaking. All of this is why I own this movie and still enjoy watching it at least annually. I could care less about the critics reviews. It was a nice revelation to find out that Mike Nesmith from the Monkees which I used to watch as a kid, produced the excellent soundtrack. See more 10/24/2011 Wow, one of those not-so-good 80s sci-fi movies about a moto-cross rider who gets lost during a long-distance race and wanders onto a government test site and inadvertently is sent back in time to 1877 where he finds himself being pursued by cowboy outlaws and life in the wild west. Check it out if you don't know what else to watch, its at least entertaining, but don't expect much.
