RaiderRo D Thank you Anne for doing this movie about a subject we need to know more about. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/23/22 Full Review Audience Member more of a medical drama rather than a disaster movie. think Outbreak, but not as good. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/19 Full Review Audience Member I struggled to make out what Anne Heche was saying in terms of her voice seemed to be too soft. And then no one seemed to change gloves before going patient to patient. If a handshake is enough to transmit the virus, its pretty virulent even if not airborne I'd be wearing a mask. I mean, the patients had their immune systems compromised, anything could make them sick. If I could figure that out so should the movie makers. It had the right ingredients, but not well executed. Anne Heche - speak up woman, enunciate! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member another disease of the week pic Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is worse than junk science. As a microbiologist, I try to allow movies a little license to make interesting what I know would otherwise be a pretty boring story to lay people. But this movie's gross disregard for anything factual at all is irresponsible and the risk is that some who watch it may think that it reflects some sort of reality. If they bothered to consult any microbiologists, physicians or epidemiologists about technical details, they certainly didn't listen to them. I can't give this show even one star. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Besides ecological thrillers depicting major natural disasters I also enjoy movies about biological/chemical warfare. It is a potential threat that can affect thousands or even millions of people depending on the target location. This one deals with a virus spreading through jet fuel engines. People are getting sick and dying at an alarming rate so Dr. Tess Martin (Anne Heche), the best virologist in the country is contacted to investigate the what type of virus it is and its origin. Thankfully, hope lies in the form of Jack Bowen (James Tupper), a man who plays by his own rules and who knows more about this mysterious outbreak than anyone realizes. Is it a conspiracy theory? Is big pharma behind this deliberate outbreak? How about the military? You will have to watch it and not bad for a straight to dvd film. It is not of the caliber of Outbreak with Dustin Hoffman and Donald Pleasance which was fantastic but still for folks that find this topic interesting, definitely worth watching on Netflix.
