The idea of getting to see a great actor like Pepper, who has impressed for so long as a character actor in supporting parts, getting his own franchise with an action star role is certainly exciting.

Started ok, and nice to see Mr Pepper in a lead role. But, quickly descended into tropes wide and deep enough to drive a bus into: Infinite bullets in the gun, single shot kills by the good guy while the bad guys miss consistently, bad guy speech just before being killed at the end, inexplicable re-appearance of the bookstore lady (who apparently got shot earlier), music score desperately (and unsuccessfully) trying to create drama/tension. Yawn.

Almost minimally watchable, though all in all 'Trigger Point' makes for an underwhelming 90 minutes. It's like a mix of 'John Wick' and, less so, 'The Equalizer', but unfortunately it never reaches the heights of either of those two flicks. Barry Pepper is actually a relatively solid lead, I could see myself enjoying a performance of his in a role like this - but only if the flick had more going for it, which this sadly doesn't. It would seem a trilogy of these could be on the horizon. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in seeing where they'd take things, but that's merely some sort of morbid curiosity that I have as opposed to any kind of excitement or anything.

It's a good Canadian motion picture, Trigger Point, 2021, directed by a Canadian Brad Turner...with strong castings, a Canadian, Colm Feore...and of course, the leading actor, also a Canadian-American, Barry Pepper...

One of the worst TV shows ever put to air. The script is awful. The direction is a shambles. And either their ‘expert advisors' didn't want to be a part of it and walked away, or they have been totally ignored. Total rubbish.

I keep coming back to this- whats the point of having a bomb disposal squad that systematically fails to stop bombs exploding? What's the point of having a supposed expert (McLure) who looks bemused by the technical tasks facing her. Big flaw in the story for me- hope in the real world she'd have been fired before the end of the series.
