Audience Member Terrific flick that just keeps delivering throughout! One of the most fun and original films I've seen in a long time. Full of amazing guest stars, and a wonderful soundtrack. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A verry funny, Well put movie . You will want to to keep watching it over and over. A family movie for everyone to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I only picked this up because I happened by it at a comic con recently, and the guys that made it (Myron and Mat Smith) took some time to tell me about it. I watched it as soon as I got home, and I was pleasantly surprised at just how much I enjoyed it. Without including spoilers for those who have yet to see this it, I can say that it was made quite well for an independent film. Even though it looks like it was shot with common handy cameras, that's a big part of the movie's charm. The sound gets a little loud and low in some parts, but that's to be expected and isn't that bad at all. Each shot is fitted and runs smoothly for the most part, not choppy or out of sync. The acting is fun to watch and for nonprofessional actors, it was well done. To be honest, if the acting was that of a big budget film, it would've taken away from part of what made this movie interesting. As for the plot, it's something straight out of well written short story. Anavey, the older sister, is determined and cunning with a sharp tongue and even sharper wit that contends with folks much older than her. Anastasia, the younger sister, is reluctantly pulled into Anavey's plot to help her build an army of blindly faithful youngsters that rebel against the adults that care for them. While the town seems baffled as to what's happening with the mounting murders, broadcasted on the news by a rather straightforward and uncensored anchor (guest star Lloyd Kaufman of classics such as "Toxic Avenger" and "Class of Nuke'Em High), fingers are pointed and suspicions run rampant of the Winchester sisters. With Anastasia's misgivings toward Anavey's intentions and actions, things escalate out of control for all involved. With a good whodunnit sort of feel, one can't know for sure whether or not Anavey is truly what she says she is. The movie keeps the watcher guessing right up until its conclusion. If you're a fan of big budget movies with complex details or over the top effects, this movie is not for you. But if you're a fan of a great story and artistic value then I would recommend it. There's lots of special features included on an extra disc with behind the scenes footage, bloopers, and a music video from Count Smokula (who also has a part in the film). There's a few other guest stars that you'll spot throughout the movie that you might recognize from other places. "Young Blood: Evil Intentions" is a campy gem that you should take the time to see. It's definitely worth a watch! And if you see this and enjoy it, keep in mind that the makers of the movie just came out with a new movie-- "Invasion of the Killer Cicadas." If it's anything like Young Blood, then it promises to be just as fun! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Great independent film. The young actresses did a great job in this as well as the film makers making this a fun film to watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Great independent film. Autumn Ward did an amazing job playing Anavey. It has lots of great cameos by actors such as Lloyd Kaufman and Butch Patrick and plenty more. Definitely something you should check out! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Quirky, unique, and fun from start to finish, Young Blood: Evil Intentions is a fresh take on a sub-genre that seemingly thrives on botched attempts at revisiting Bram Stoker's Dracula, erotica, and mindless soap operas. I enjoyed it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
