Jonty R Zombie hunter is the pinnacle of a low budget, generic, indie zombie flick…and it's fun! Zombie hunter ticks all the general boxes with catchphrases, blood and gore, sex and nudity, bad ass hero's, bloodied up zombies and a lot of booze. While there are some bad cgi moments the film is really fun if you're willing to look past that and it's simple, unmoving plot. It could be argued the film has themes of revenge, love, family, home and redemption, but these aren't touched on very often if at all, as the directors focus more on action. The actors (for the most part) do a good job with Martin Copping and the ever reliable Danny Trejo leading the charge. Oh and the soundtrack is bliss! Overall a fun movie to watch for all zombie fans and one you definitely won't regret. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Worth the watch if you're into these kinds of movies not a masterpiece but always fun to watch cheap horror movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Honestly i liked this movìe it had my joy and happieness and it also had great end credits the acting and narration was awesome and the premise of the film made me truly happy i watched this film about 10 times and never got bored from it. I always loved this movie and I always will love it no matter what anyone thinks about my opinion. Kevin King you made a badass and cool zombie movie for me to enjoy Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Sin city, meets the punisher, meets mad max, meets aliens, meets zombie romance meets a total waste of film roll. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/03/20 Full Review Audience Member The zombies are your run-of-the-mill variety, nothing new. But the Funny Man and Resident Evil "inspired" (okay, copied) monsters were neat villains to include, even if the CGI was a bit ridiculous (but not deficitly so; it added to the cheesy good time you're supposed to have watching these kind of movies). I really didn't mind the low-budget quality of this movie. An all-in-good-fun zombie movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I only have three good things to say about this movie. It´s a zombie-flick (you know I love em), it features Danny Trejo (a pro), and there´s plenty of gore. That´s the good stuff. The bad stuff - and I´ll make it short - is insanely passive, illogical and chardboardy characters (and I´m assuming they werent going for a parody here). The gore is plentyfull but too often so obviously CGI and low budget. Most schoolkids could whip up more realistic fakeblood by the way, but I liked a lot of the prosthetics. The plot is straightforward and nonimaginative, with very little depth, but what reeeeeally bugs me is the stupid, illogical, passive, unnatural behaviour of people. It´s like a parody that takes itself dead serious. Oh...And how can anyone cast two grown-ups, almost middleaged men, as two 12- and 15-year old lads??? I mean rewrite the script if you refuse to use young actors ffs! Their age had no bearing on the plot at all, so why...? So fairly entertaining for those of us with low requirements, but poorly executed production I suppose. More attention to detail could have lifted thisup to a totally other level. Josh Goller Spectrum Culture Even the unintentional humor is hard to appreciate. Jul 20, 2019 Full Review Deirdre Crimmins Film Thrills I would still recommend Zombie Hunter simply based on how fun the first 45 minutes are, but if you walk out or turn it off after that, you won't miss much.
