Audience Member A great follow-up/sister series to Trollhunters, 3Below: Tales of Arcadia is a series that struggles to find its footing in the earlier episodes, but once it does, it is nearly as good as Trollhunters, and it is severely underatted. The story is compelling enough, and I did like the fish-out-of-water narrative, but this show really is at its peak with the characters and relationships. I loved the chemistry between Aja and Krel, and I really liked Varvatos Vex's arc, and of course Aja and Steve had plenty of great scenes as well, especially in the episode "Truth Be Told," where Steve's stupidity and "bravery" can be hilarious. There are also quite a few emotional beats in the show as well, which are pretty good. One thing I would say I really didn't like was how in the second Trollhunters crossover, "Lightning in a Bottle" which crossed over with the Trollhunters Part 3 episode "In Good Hands," they changed a bunch of things, even though this is supposed to be a connected universe. Most of the changes are pretty minor, such as a bunch of minor line changes, which are still very annoying, but there were also some changes that made Jim look a bit stupid, but other than those changes, I thought that overall the show was very good, and a must-watch for fans of Trollhunters. Borbe , akcije , avanture i dirljivi trenutci (scene) kroz koje likovi ovog filma prolaze su više nego dobre. Film je možda jedan od najboljih koje sam ja ikada pogledao. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Wait, what happened to the old version of this page? Oh well, here's a remake of my original review since my opinion remained roughly the same as when I first saw this season around the 2018-2019 around the New Year's period. Not as good as Trollhunters with irritating fish-out-of-water humour and animation that feels like a downgrade but the voice acting is good, the action is decent and it tackles some thought-provoking themes especially once the characters find out what the annoying Varvatos Vex's dirty little secret is. The crossover episode with Trollhunters was the best but then again, I was always a sucker for Groundhog Day narratives. A good watch but Trollhunters was much better.
