Sirens sings a tune tried and true thanks to laudable performances by Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock.

Alan Sepinwall Rolling Stone I’ll give Sirens this: It may be a failure, but it’s an interesting one. May 28, 2025 Full Review Rebecca Onion Slate Julianne Moore’s Michaela doles out cruelty and motherly concern in perfectly controlled alternating increments. May 28, 2025 Full Review Sophie Gilbert The Atlantic Sirens is a very fun show. May 27, 2025 Full Review Denise Zubizarreta LatinaMedia.Co Look, I love Josh Segarra as much as the next person with eyes and taste – but even his perfect jawline can’t save this script from drowning in déjà vu. For a show that’s supposed to subvert expectations, Sirens loves clinging to them. Rated: D- Jul 29, 2025 Full Review Neely Swanson Beverly Hills Courier “Sirens,” ingeniously written and well-directed, would probably work no matter who played these deliciously devious characters, but it is helped immensely by having Julianne Moore as the ethereal, manipulative Michaela. Jul 24, 2025 Full Review Álvaro Onieva Fotogramas ...[Sirens is] part Revenge, part failed attempt at Desperate Housewives or Dead to Me. Despite Netflix labeling it a "dark comedy," the label doesn't fit. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 5/10 Jul 2, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Leslie B I watched this so you don’t have to. Story characters & setting has been hashed and rehashed: wealthy Caucasian eastern coast beach family is crazy. Normies come in from elsewhere and chaos ensues. So from the get go: old soggy hat. Decided to keep watching (sorry) but had it going in the background. Too dull to devote undivided attention to. Many scenes went no where or were meant to be funny but were just awkward. 50% longer than it needed to be. Lots of dialogue going nowhere. Seemed like 1/2 way though authors weren’t sure what to write about. Young female-saint super hero protagonists, typical Gen Z storytelling, written for high school girls. This show put the nail in the coffin for me with Netflix. Too much content like this, it’s not worth the subscription. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/29/25 Full Review Elza M Acting was solid. Didn’t see the twist coming. Solid series. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/26/25 Full Review Horror fan 4 The performances were great. Love the location and comedy. Tim Treakle Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Kathy W Flavor-of-the-month, Barbie/Ken doll leads, Gen Z writing, acting and storyline. Julianne Moore, Kevin Bacon and the guy who plays Jose are worth the watch, though. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Winsy Winsky W Sirens had some strong moments—solid performances, intriguing premise, and flashes of good writing. But overall, it didn’t quite land for me. The pacing felt uneven, and while the story had potential, it didn’t fully deliver on the emotional or narrative payoff I was hoping for. It’s not a bad watch—there’s definitely something there—but it’s not one I’d rush to recommend either. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Reese L A story that is very simple when it starts to be told, but as it continues to advance, it changes tone completely, becoming very surprising, sarcastic, dark and funny, highlighting the performances of Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock and Julianne Moore, who are worth seeing interact in the worst way and that is enchanting, because it is part of the proposal of this limited Netflix series, being an exquisite and strange combination.
