Megan Andersen Common Sense Media Jun 10
This show explores challenging but important topics around kids' sexual media consumption, classist expectations, sexual consent and assault, hands-off parenting, and treatment of immigrant employees. Go to Full Review
Rohan Naahar The Indian Express Jun 7
A slow-burn thriller that addresses class-disparity, toxic masculinity, and the exploitation of cheap labour, Secrets We Keep takes a rather familiar premise and transforms it into something entirely more complex. Go to Full Review

7/10
The series manages to naturally inject questions about privilege, the racialization of domestic work, and individual responsibility in the face of systems that benefit some at the expense of others. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review
Joel Keller Decider May 16
Secrets We Keep is a thriller that doesn’t try to distract viewers by sending them down too many dead ends, and tells a story about class, race and wealth in the process. Go to Full Review
Kshitij Rawat Lifestyle Asia (India) May 16
Secrets We Keep uses the familiar tropes of suburban mysteries (missing girls, tight-knit communities, smug rich people, pristine lawns hiding rotting secrets) but twists them into something far more intimate and morally disquieting. Go to Full Review
Sarah Musnicky But Why Tho? A Geek Community May 15
6.5/10
Secrets We Keep has much to say in its short, allotted runtime. Still, with such a limited episode count, this mystery thriller doesn’t give enough beats for its audience to digest the discoveries unearthed. Go to Full Review

Julie R @JulieDR Feb 2 Enthralling from the first scene. So well done, and while I could predict a big part of the mystery, watching it unfold was thoroughly enjoyable and there was much about the end that I didn’t see coming. I’ll be watching this one again See more Esra Y Dec 30 Successfully layers the story with very current themes. Reminded me of Haneke's works. See more samar k @samark231 Dec 29 very slow. very predictitable. made for second screen viewing. See more Jazmine A @Jazmine327 Dec 21 This is a very interesting series that weaves a murder mystery with the subject of class and exploitation on different levels. It's a bleak and depressing look at the world but it delivers its critique perfectly. See more Nov 9 It was okay, but honestly it should’ve been a movie instead of a full series. The story dragged in a lot of places, and the constant weird tension wasn’t pleasant to sit through. The ending left way too many questions, and not in a good, ‘thought-provoking’ way — more like unfinished and unsatisfying. My husband guessed the ending early on, and he was right, which made the final reveal even less impactful. See more Michael B. @KVD1969 Sep 30 A woman’s seemingly perfect life begins to unravel when a buried truth from her past resurfaces. As lies collide with loyalty, she’s forced to choose between protecting her family or exposing the secret that could destroy them. In the end, the cost of silence may be deadlier than the truth itself. See more Read all reviews
