Andor is a show that rewards second and third watches as much as it does the first. While Cassian is the titular hero, it is a true ensemble piece, and the connections, plans, and motivations take their natural, unforced time in coming to the fore.

Even though I was a Star Wars fan already before watching this show, it is not necessary to enjoy it. The show does a great job at world building and developing original characters. It is technically a prequel show to the movie Rogue One but having already introduced it to a friend of mine who is not at all familiar with the Star Wars universe, I can confidently say no prior Star Wars knowledge is necessary to enjoy this show. It does make you want to watch Rogue One straight after though.

Loved it. I had just about given up on Disney Star Wars and then they came out with this. It was gritty, entertaining, and managed to be both plot driven and character rich. It’s the best small screen Star Wars to come out so far. I have high hopes for Season 2.
