      Vice – Archer

      2014 Comedy Action Animation List
100% 12 Reviews Tomatometer 90% 500+ Ratings Audience Score The suave, confident and devastatingly handsome Sterling Archer may be the world's greatest spy, but he still has issues with his friends and colleagues who live to undermine and betray one another. Whether set in 1940s Los Angeles, the jungles of South America or the dangerous islands of the South Pacific, "Archer" is an animated comedy that spans time and place to navigate Sterling, Lana, Cheryl/Carol/Charlotte, Cyril, Pam, Ray and Krieger's misguided misadventures that range from attempting to save the world from nuclear disaster to selling illegal narcotics to Colombian cartels. Alice W Best season of archer Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Corey W The high point of the series so far, Archer Vice explores a new, changing terrain with characters who simply refuse to change with it. Sure, Cheryl is an "outlaw" country music star and Pam would rip you in half with her bare hands for an eight ball, but let's be honest: would you expect anything different from either of them given the shenanigans that comprise Season 5? It's a zany, but also natural progression for the team in their post-espionage chapter. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member [⭐️79%] Archer's fifth season takes the series into uncharted territory with a continuous story throughout the entire season, making for a very whacky ride. So much crazy stuff happens that makes this entry a fun and memorable time, sometimes hooting itself in the foot with how messy moments can get. Along with the fun, the characters show sides the viewers have never seen as well as displaying better chemistry, making season 5 a blast! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review yorgo h Definitely my favorite season Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This season was god awful. It was almost impossible to get through, and I found myself enraged by Pam. She's a truly terrible character who needs to be killed off. Hated this season, would literally never watch again. Alison Willmore indieWire This new season has been reassuring proof that Archer can explore new territory while remaining true to itself. Jan 30, 2014 Full Review Andy Greenwald Grantland It's still reliably dirty... but in the service of something much grimier and at once totally fresh. It's also very, very funny. Jan 22, 2014 Full Review Brian Tallerico HollywoodChicago.com Archer is defiantly silly but it is so in a way that people could easily underestimate. In other words, it takes smart people to write characters this gloriously dumb. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 13, 2014 Full Review Stephen Marche Esquire Magazine The plots are perfunctory. The premise is beside the point. Archer just has funny characters, and trusts that their innate hilarity will keep people's attention. Oct 19, 2018 Full Review Kevin Fitzpatrick ScreenCrush A rare, but refreshing move for an animated series... Jun 12, 2018 Full Review Jim Scott Under the Radar [Rebooting] gives the series new life. Not that it was floundering at all, but there was a certain circuitousness to the plotlines that Archer Vice not only interrupts, but short-circuits completely.
