Eric Deggans Tampa Bay Times The result is a superbly acted drama that remains compelling, even when the plot gets creaky. Dec 4, 2019 Full Review Emily Nussbaum New Yorker One of the most affecting explorations of grief on TV. Mar 1, 2012 Full Review Alan Sepinwall HitFix Far and away the best pilot episode I saw for any network series this season. Rated: B+ Mar 1, 2012 Full Review Emma Dibdin The Arts Desk Both tonally and structurally, Awake throws you in at the deep end. May 21, 2018 Full Review David Bianculli NPR's Fresh Air I'm still not sure how good a show Awake is. For a while, I'll keep watching - and I'll keep hoping that it turns into something that justifies its highly unusual concept. But I'm afraid, when it's all over, I could be dreaming. May 14, 2018 Full Review Kevin Fitzpatrick ScreenCrush In a way 'Awake' could almost stand on its own as a short story, but still offers up one of the better pilots of the past year and should definitely prove worth your attention going forward. Frank P One of the best - original concept, great acting, just one season but couldn't see this storyline lasting any more than one. Strange ending to a unique show. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/26/23 Full Review razvan p relatable virtuous dude, good role model . i can only argue against the last episode which adds lhigh risk low reward nd lack of christianity among the loopholes Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review rashid w This show deserved more love and a 2nd season! So good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not intelligent no it isn't. It's alright. Not gripping and never makes me curious what might happen later. If you're bored and there's nothing else to watch, this is it. It severely lacks humour. No matter how serious a show is, you gotta make it a little funny but this is so dry… Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The original concept and excellent cast make this hidden gem a must-watch. Shame it only lasted one season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review gonzalo e 12 excellent episodes ruined by an horrible finale. // 12 excelentes episodios arruinados por un final horrible.
