What to Know

Critics Consensus

Retaining its first season's laidback charms without resting on its hind legs, Colin from Accounts' second outing is as cranky, funny, and delightful as ever.

Scott Bryan BBC.com The other reason why it works, is just the fact that it is a continuation of something that has been happening on TV quite recently, which is a show in which the people who are starring in it also write it. Rated: Must Watch Jan 8, 2025 Full Review Valerie Anne Autostraddle Overall it’s a fun, quick, ridiculous time and I do recommend it — at the very least for Colin, the dog. Oct 2, 2024 Full Review Danette Chavez AV Club Reconciling expectations with reality is a key part of any relationship, and it’s at the core of Colin From Accounts‘ exceedingly charming second season. Rated: B+ Sep 26, 2024 Full Review Rachael Sigee iNews.co.uk It is once again Dyer and Brammall’s easy chemistry that sells the series, but their supporting cast are given more to do this season. Sep 30, 2024 Full Review Sam Haysom Mashable The show is consistently funny, occasionally moving, and permanently fun to watch, with characters you alternate between groaning at and rooting for. Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Joel Keller Decider We’re not sure how much more juice there is left to squeeze from the lemon that is Ashley and Gordon’s odd relationship, but Colin From Accounts tries its best to do just that... Wendy B I cannot say enough good things about this show. It is the light in the darkness. The two of them have such unbelievable chemistry and flow as actors, It is an extra blessing that they are together in real life. Can’t we get more of this? Can’t this show go on forever? How could anyone ever be sick of these two? They are delicious and adorable and interesting and funny …. great companions for us all with a heart during these turbulent times. Forgive me, the pooch is as delicious. Just their love for dogs would have been enough to sell me. Please make a season 3, 4 , 5 ….. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/25 Full Review Derek R Both seasons are just so easy and fun to watch. Anything I didn't like about it i've already forgotten about. It's just a great show to take your mind away for a bit. Obviously they need a season 3 since Season 2 didn't have the best of endings. Hope it comes back :) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review Stephen G I don't know what happened in the second half of Season Two. The first half was fine, but the second half didn't just decline; it fell off a cliff. Episodes Five and Six (of the total of eight) were particularly humorless, uninteresting and awkward. Episodes Seven and Eight had their moments, a few quite funny, but on balance were still disappoiniting. And the season ended on a particularly awkward, humorless note. Did the writers quit or simply run out of energy and good ideas? Now, it's true that even in the first season and the first half of the second season, the show wasn't purely comedy. Part of its strength, in fact, was that it blended some drama and tension into the quirky romantic mix. But whatever the show was aiming for in the final four episodes of Season Two - off-beat comedy? moving drama? romantic tension? all of the above? - it just didn't pull it off well at all. There's so much to like about the show when it's going well. Let's hope the team rights the ship if there's a third season. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/25 Full Review Donald D Did not think this could get any better but season 2 does. An excellent gem. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Eva B Good Season 2. Would have liked a little more cute aspects of a the couple and a different ending but great humor and plot in general. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review Jim F Very funny show. Has a similar feel to the Apple TV show Trying. Very good pace and great characters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
