Alexandra Heller-Nicholas ABC Radio (Australia) Criminal continues to be just as powerful - and just as enthralling - as ever. Rated: 4/5 Sep 23, 2020 Full Review Steve Greene IndieWire Each episode of "Criminal: UK" has to end somewhere, but it's still surprising how many of them feel artificially finished. Rated: B Sep 18, 2020 Full Review Rebecca Nicholson Guardian Leaving the viewer to work out who is telling the truth, and what version of it they are telling, should be catnip to anyone who loves a good mystery. Rated: 3/5 Sep 18, 2020 Full Review Brooke Daugherty Pop Culture Leftovers Criminal UK returns to Netflix with four new episodes just as interesting and well acted as the first season. Sep 27, 2020 Full Review James Croot The Post NZ Drama it would be criminal to miss, don't be surprised if you find yourself feasting on all four episodes in one sitting. Hemant S After an intriguing first season that saw stories from France, Spain and Germany as well; Criminal: UK returns to Netflix with a second and even more engaging season. What I love most about this content and piece of teleplay is how the concentration is on the screenplay, the dialogue, the acting and expressions – and how it all paints a vivid picture of the events that have transpired, while it all happens in the present from the singular confines of an interrogation room with a tight knit team of investigators. Sophie Okonedo, Kit Harrington, Sharon Horgan and Kunal Nayyar (in a brilliantly contrasting avatar) star as the subjects of scrutiny in the four-episode series – each a thriller in its own sense. However the second and third episode are the most interesting to me, as they open up a plethora of debates in one's mind as the plot swings back and forth between guilty and not. Beautifully executed – could do with more of this fine content in a time when mass production has just thinned out the quality. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/08/23 Full Review Gareth v A continuation of what worked in season 1 and thats a good thing. One of the better police procedural shows out there. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/24/23 Full Review Colleen W Tops S1, and that's no mean feat. THIS is how you "open up" a play. (Or maybe it works because it was built this way, from scratch?) Whatever the genesis, the execution is perfection, or as close as you can come to it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Audience Member If S1 was amazing, S2 is brilliant, almost perfect. Cases are still brilliantly dealt with, characters are still interesting and brilliantly portrayed.
