World-renowned brain surgeon Dr. Andrew Brown finds his life changed forever after his wife dies. He leaves glamorous Manhattan and his prosperous medical practice for the idyllic small town of Everwood, Colo. -- which he chooses because of his late wife's emotional attachment to the town -- taking his two kids, Delia and Ephram, with him. The show revolves around the family's relationships as they adjust to small-town life and the kids' relationships with their peers, both as friends and in the dating world.

Kate Aurthur Slate Has consistently represented its young characters as sane, autonomous people who are often better-equipped to make important decisions than the adults around them. Oct 9, 2018 Full Review Brian Tallerico HollywoodChicago.com Took its characters seriously, keeping them believable within its soap opera elements. And, most importantly, it featured truly excellent performances. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 8, 2018 Full Review Gillian Flynn Entertainment Weekly The story feels intricate and resounding. The Abbotts wither, rally, and sensibly stumble on -- an emblem of Everwood's pragmatic grace. Oct 8, 2018 Full Review Samantha Bornemann PopMatters Feel-good/feel-bad television at its most stirring, the series' characters know the tropes of teen entertainment as well as viewers do. Like the rest of us, they can only wish their lives were as simple. Oct 9, 2018 Full Review Scott D. Pierce Deseret News (Salt Lake City) Everwood has had some rough patches this season, but it's still great family drama that tackles tough issues. The characters ring true because of, not in spite of, their flaws. Oct 8, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Scott D First two seasons were great. Never understand why they'd take a character you're rooting for in Dr Brown to turn him into someone you can't stand. I know, it's just a show. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/05/25 Full Review Read all reviews
