Three young men and three young women -- of the BFF kind -- live in the same apartment complex and face life and love in New York. They're not above sticking their noses into one another's business and swapping romantic partners, which always leads to the kind of hilarity average people will never experience -- especially during breakups.

Critics Consensus

A wedding, babies, and Joey attempting -- and failing -- to speak French! What more could we have asked for from Friends' tenth and final season?

Chris Suellentrop Slate Friends isn't a sitcom. It's a soapcom, a soap opera masquerading as a situation comedy. Feb 24, 2021 Full Review Richard Zoglin TIME Magazine The show never rose above its artificial, formulaic roots - characters assembled straight from the sitcom-writer's handbook, jokes delivered with mechanical predictability at the network-mandated rate of three per page. Jun 28, 2018 Full Review Samantha Incorvaia Arizona Republic There are plenty of one-liners and memories that will leave you cheering, laughing and crying. Jun 28, 2018 Full Review Ishmeet Nagpal Mediaversity Reviews Friends punches down on every marginalized identity in sight. Rated: D Feb 11, 2024 Full Review Bryan Reesman NBC News THINK Altogether, Friends is really just a bland show about bland characters living bland lives. Apr 26, 2021 Full Review José Quezada Roque Chilango.com [The series' scripts were] concise and top-level. [Full review in Spanish] Mar 21, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

av 8 Season Average: 8.166 What is it with the lot and cheating? Ross cannot frikking handle that Rachel and Joey are together, he has to get himself together. Mike cheats on Precious to be with Phoebe again, and everyone is just okay with all of that. Ross and Rachel act so selfishly about Emma's first birthday. Amy messes up very badly, who would have been dumb enough to trust her but Rachel? Charlie cheats on Ross, but does it count as cheating if she kisses her ex right in front of him before ending things with him? Everything is cleared up for Mon and Chan to adopt a child. Everyone but Monica and Chandler again acts so selfishly and nearly messes up the Thanksgiving bar the one good news. Erica is carrying their baby now. A horrible episode with a stripper and a distasteful turn of events takes place before Phoebe's wedding. Princess Consuela Speedo is being really immature. Rachel is going to Paris, all the endings are hurried off, leaving only Joey all alone. Jack and Erica are born to the Bings, Rachel almost goes away and comes back to Ross. Happily ever after? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/18/25 Full Review Rohan P The previous seasons started to feel a bit stale, and I think this season brought back a lot of the humor I loved from the earlier seasons. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/25 Full Review Serena H I hated that they got Ross and Rachel back together Ross was my least favorite person in friends but I loved that they had Monica and Chandler have kids so this season was ok I would give it a 6.5/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/16/24 Full Review André Ferreira F Uma maneira satisfatória de acabar. O maior problema desta temporada é sofrer com as consequências de uma dececionante predecessora. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Inno S Best comedy TV show... Love all characters made me laugh and make most of my days delightful...... Especially Ross and chandler Bing.... Hate it ended... No comedy TV show can reach the prentese of "Friends" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/30/24 Full Review Steve C David Schwimmer is as disgusting as his character Ross, ruining the last two seasons of Friends.
