Con artist Maddie is as beautiful as she is dangerous. Over the years, she has left a trail of unwitting victims who become tormented upon realizing that they have been used and robbed of everything -- including their hearts. Her latest assignment threatens to be derailed, though, when she meets Patrick, a potential love interest. Further complicating Maddie's work are three former targets -- Ezra, Richard and Jules -- who realize they have been scammed by the same woman and team up to track her down. When the men choose to embark on the quest, they don't realize that they must face their own truths and find new versions of themselves along the way.

Natalie Autostraddle While you could chalk some of those tropes to being a side effect of the show's overall premise, the presentation of Maddie's sexuality leaves a lot to be desired. Apr 20, 2018 Full Review Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald What at first glance looks a rather slight confection about a pretty conwoman ripping off rich male saps quickly becomes a lot more interesting -- not to mention surprisingly dark and funny. Mar 27, 2018 Full Review Dana Schwartz Observer Perhaps what surprised me the most was just how sharp the writing is. Especially once Uma Thurman shows up in a reoccurring role, even an overanalyzing television cynic like me couldn't help but just enjoy the ride. Mar 27, 2017 Full Review tt stern-enzi Fox19 (Cincinnati, OH) The camaraderie and intrigue is more than enough to pull people in, and there are several easy hooks that sunk right into me... Mar 2, 2021 Full Review Sadie Gennis TV Guide Imposters developed a small, but impassioned cult following for good reason. Christina P This show is amazing! We could not stop watching. We watched 5 episodes Friday night and 5 episodes Saturday night. This show kept me on the edge of my seat even when it ended. It is excellent. It is a little suspenseful, but there are some laughs and the cast is fantastic. I would recommend this show to everyone I see. Starting season 2 tonight. This is a must watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/24 Full Review J G Charismatic cast, fun idea overall, and a few unusual plot twists. But also, some of the plot twists are SO far fetched that it's just hard to swallow. It's a shame because it's kind of unnecessary - in that these plot twists could be fixed so easily. Spoilers: No, FBI agents don't go around casually sleeping with the targets of investigations with full agency support. High priced lawyers for rich people who committed petty crimes (that no one likely has proof of) don't advise their clients they're gonna do five years. And half the people lead such charmed looking lives that it's just hard to relate to their constantly cringeworthy behavior. There's a fun show in there somewhere, but I got tired of cringing by about episode 7. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/05/23 Full Review robert o I liked the show story line but the ending sucked! Maddie was the only one of the group that got arrested! her other 2 partners escaped with a load of cash from the "doctor" I really think that Maddie and Ezra should have gotten back together in the end, plus Richard and Jules sister Poppy should have became a couple and last but not least Jules and Gina should also have became a couple! In the last season they all should have got an FBI immunity deal and the last episode should have had Maddie and Ezra get married (again) with Richard being Ezra's best man and Jules being Maddie's maid of Honour! Now that would have been the perfect love story and perfect ending to a great series! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Soooo VERY GOOD! A very entertaining, suspenseful, edge of your seat, unpredictable show with several HAHAHA! moments! It's got something for everyone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review tom m Reasonably entertaining. The comic bits are usually okay, but can be a bit too much now & then.
