Depraved underachieving might look easy, but for the egocentric Mac, Charlie, Dennis, Frank and Dee, it's an art form. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" follows "The Gang," the owners of the unsuccessful Paddy's Pub; a group of degenerates who loves nothing more than to scheme, conspire, and mostly revel in each other's misery. Whether gaming the welfare system, exploiting dumpster babies, pretending to be crippled, impersonating officers, or faking funerals, The Gang never stoops too low in the name of making a buck.

Ellen Gray Philadelphia Inquirer Thank goodness for Danny DeVito, whose total commitment to this insanity often makes the unbelievable just believable enough to be funny. Or maybe it's the other way around. Oct 16, 2020 Full Review Noel Murray AV Club As with a lot of this season's episodes, "Sweet Dee Has A Heart Attack" starts brilliantly and then peters out by the end. But before the fade, "Heart Attack" features a steady stream of great lines and snappy interplay. Rated: B Oct 16, 2020 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Washington Post With this past season's 13 episodes, the show takes its humor into a whole new arena of supremely uncomfortable wonderfulness. Oct 15, 2020 Full Review Kelly West CinemaBlend It's this dark kind of humor that makes the show strangely satisfying, perhaps because that style of humor is not as common as the more cleaned-up stuff you see on the regular networks. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 16, 2020 Full Review Sandrine Sahakians TV Equals It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is without a doubt one of Without a doubt one of the funniest shows on TV, but also the most outrageous one. There is nothing these people won't do... seriously, nothing. Oct 16, 2020 Full Review Americ Ngwije TV Equals I know it sounds gross, but I'm sorry it is still freaking funny. dave d Solid and dependable. It's a good plus show. Well worth the background noise and a guaranteed laugh or two per episode if you've come this far. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Regal R 80/100 - Wow, right out of the gate they just throw you into the thick of it. I like how bold the writers are, and I think a lot of the humor is just them picking the most offensive topics and just running with them. I feel like this show can get old because its the same format every show, but thats also what makes it comfort food. The same characters you know and love, always acting the same, getting into the same shenanigans. I will miss shows like this and the fact that no writers are daring enough to make films like this anymore. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/02/24 Full Review Bec B The Nightman Cometh is absolute gold!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/23 Full Review Teddy B By this point in the series' journey, the showrunners have perfected the formula to creating the perfectly witty and gut-bustlingly hilarious world of self-indulged, egotistical, narcissistic, and illusional underachievers who only can ever live in the depraved world of their own extremely immoral and misguided achievements. My full respect is given to these showrunners because they have shown me the impossible... actually making mean-spirited characters funny instead of falling into the habit of having us sympathize with them. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Derek M This is the best show on TV. If you're unfamiliar think of this as Deadpool and the office as Captain America. It's raunchy, unapologetic, loud, and weird. It's messages are subtle and sarcastic, never preachy and it's absurdity creates hilarious and iconic moments. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/15/23 Full Review Christopher M This show is consistently the funniest thing on TV. It's an absolute must watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
