David R It was really great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Lukas-Jeremie K "Key & Peele" didn't really make me laugh that often, as I would have expected from a sketch comedy show. To count how many times I've really laughed, I don't need more than two hands. Unfortunately, in most cases, there was simply not much more than a smile to be had. In addition, the decision was made to completely omit the moderation element from season 4 and to replace it with cutscenes in which Key & Peele just have conversations in a car, which I thought was a shame because it took a lot of the show's character away. The show was entertaining nonetheless, but I had higher expectations from such a highly acclaimed show... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I miss this series so much. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member With two charismatic leads that have great chemistry for each other, Key and Peele revives the sketch comedy with pop-culture references and commentary on today's society in a hilarious way. Kartina Richardson Salon.com Comedy Central's new sketch show "Key & Peele"...is neither funny nor daring. And since these are the show's two goals, it has failed miserably. Apr 3, 2019 Full Review Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly These moments proved that the former MADtv contributors have a take on race themes that distinguishes them from most TV comedy. Apr 3, 2019 Full Review David Hinckley New York Daily News At their best, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele remind us what we lost when comics started breaking up their old teams and going solo. Rated: 3/5 Mar 29, 2019 Full Review Americ Ngwije TV Equals Key & Peele has a somewhat similar format and the humor does touch on themes that are close to what Chappelle addressed on his show. However, I feel like Key and Peele have added their unique flavor to this format and made it their own. Apr 2, 2019 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Post-Gazette For starters, its hits outpace its misses -- by a mile. That's not often the case with sketch comedy shows. Just as important, the humor is consistently smart. Mar 29, 2019 Full Review Rob Vaux Collider The good news is that the material makes its own gravy, and you can find something worthwhile no matter which episode you watch.
