Audience Member cant get enough of this show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is my favorite show right now. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is still one of my top 5 favorite comedies ever. This season is even better than the first one. The jokes and writing are always funny and the story's emotional depth is amazing. Alison Janney and Anna Faris's chemistry is still fantastic. The cast all give stupendous and hilarious performances especially Alison Janney, Anna Faris, Mimi Kennedy, Matt Jones, French Stewart, Jamie Pressly, Kevin Pollack, Octavia Spencer, and Beth Hall. A+. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member NEVER have I seen a scripted comedy that KILLS off a primary character...or prays...or goes to AA meetings. This series is a JOY of both love and pain. Nothing else touches it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Mom season 2 picked up where it was left off and added more funny gags each episode while preserving a long lasting storyline. Season 2 was even better than season 1 thanks for the smart direction and clever script Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The second season of Mom seems to improve it all: Jokes, charm, originality, and above all it's not anymore predictable. The acting still being excellent from its both stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney. All combined to create a most hilarious and clever second season. Neil Genzlinger New York Times Now the series is a weekly dose of substance, one that stands out in a network-television universe full of nontraditional families and dysfunction. It manages the difficult trick of venturing into seriousness without growing overly maudlin or preachy. Oct 17, 2017 Full Review Noel Murray AV Club In its second season, Mom has kicked the crap out of its main characters week after week, and they've come out of it with their wits sharpened. Rated: A- Apr 30, 2015 Full Review Dan Fienberg HitFix Everything I like about Mom remains intact and rather than de-emphasizing the emotional bumpiness, Thursday's premiere is adding more layers. Rated: B+ Oct 30, 2014 Full Review Ken Tucker Yahoo! TV These new episodes are clearly designed to showcase [Allison Janney]. But, with their heavy-handed, lecturing tone mixed with bawdy defiance, they don't end up serving anyone very well. Oct 17, 2017 Full Review Matt Roush TV Insider Mom finds laughter in pain as one of the very few socially relevant comedies anywhere on TV. Apr 21, 2015 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Mom remains funny, thanks in large part to the great work of Allison Janney as Christy's potty-mouthed mom, Bonnie.
