What to Know

Critics Consensus

The core characters have gone their separate ways but Mythic Quest remains thematically cohesive as an acidic sendup of the gaming industry that never compromises its essence as a warm-hearted workplace comedy.

Brian Tallerico The Playlist The truth is that they really need a TV quest that’s worth their time. And ours. Rated: C Nov 11, 2022 Full Review Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) The series bends but never breaks with its swift, sardonic take on creativity and professional companionship. Nov 10, 2022 Full Review Gissane Sophia Lady Geeks Media Mythic Quest Season 3 is exquisitely engrossing, with creatively compelling narratives and profoundly moving dynamics that make every moment better than the one before. Jul 23, 2023 Full Review Sarah Ward Concrete Playground It mightn't end up breaking records as the longest-running live-action sitcom ever made, as It's Always Sunny has after 15 seasons (and counting), but pressing play for another astute and amusing round keeps proving easy. Jan 26, 2023 Full Review Allyson Johnson InBetweenDrafts ...it’s a greater testament to Charlotte Nicado being one of the single, brightest, stars on television right now. Rated: 7.5/10 Jan 7, 2023 Full Review Amanda Mazzillo Film Joy Every season of Mythic Quest is funnier and more heartfelt[]as we fall in love with every character–the more flawed the better. Mythic Quest is cynical and heartwarmingly sincere, reflecting the flawed nature of humanity and quest to find where we belong. Jan 6, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Craig B Very good but clearly slipping in season 3. One getting rid of F Murray Abraham was a huge mistake they clearly miss his wit. Some of the spark was just gone with the big changes in the setup this season. Hoping four brings that back. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/25 Full Review Aaron G The series delivers another top tier season with season 3! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/25 Full Review Matthew P What happened to this show? Seasons one and two were a lot of fun but season 3 feels like it's written by a whole different team of writers. Clever office interplay has morphed into isolated one note characters. I think the main problem is they changed too much at once and now it doesn't even feel like I'm watching the same show. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/21/25 Full Review last f A shallow and pedantic take on a work place comedy. Think (The Office) but for people with a very low IQ and written by people with little to no skill. The stories do not mesh and the characters constantly change. It is a tragedy to all things creative. I am almost certain CIA operatives use these episodes to extract information from some very bad people so maybe this show does have a use. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/07/25 Full Review Audience Member This third part is not as good as the previous ones, sure. The new status quo brings up some new duo dynamics that, sadly, don't work as well, and the comedy suffers from it. Rachel and Dana's dynamic also struggles more, probably because of Rachel's altered storyline due to CW's departure. Jo is also supposed to get a bit more depth, but her cartoonish portrayal makes it harder to fit. Thanksfully, the show still has a lot of great comedy moments, and even though the character work can be messy in the first half, it definitely lands back on its feet in the second one. The anthology episode is still working so wonderfully, and the show manages to capture the drama in its story in the touching or devastating scenes we are now used to. Overall, this season is not the one you'll remember, it operates more as a filler season that doesn't shine compared to the rest, but definitely sets up a season 4 that could be the best one so far. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/24 Full Review Christopher M This show was such a fun look behind the curtain of a game studio. The main characters are so good, and they interact so well together.
