james o the series have made comparsions between the british science fiction series Doctor Who and Torchwood. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/25 Full Review David W One of the very best sci-fi series from the period. Very well acted and plotted. Having recently rewatched it, whilst some of the CGI looks a bit ropy by today's standards, the rest is as fresh as the day it was minted. One of my all time favourite shows of recent years. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Bob F It is 2023 now this show is dated, possibly when it was fresh out of the box it would have had more appeal to me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/23 Full Review Ripper J Sanctuary is an excellent series. The world building is interesting, the plot is thought-provoking, and most of the characters have depth and are well portrayed. Helen Magnus is a phenomenal lead and an example of a strong female character that most shows fail to produce. She is a strong Female character rather than a female character wearing man-face. Amanda Tapping portrays this superbly. Additionally, there are several well written, well developed and well portrayed supporting characters. The series tackles many wide ranging topics such as racism, classism, family and the benefit/dangers of science, among others. This is a definite must watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This show is outstanding, it's really a shame it didn't go longer. There was so much story left to tell! Season 1 needed a little time to establish itself but early episodes like Nubbins and The Five proved it was already destined for greatness. The arc ending season 1 and leading into season 2 was absolute gold. Amanda Tapping is stellar. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
