On her birthday, Clary Fray discovers a surprise concerning her life. The teenager is not who she thinks she is -- she comes from a long line of human-angel hybrids, called Shadowhunters, who hunt demons. After her mother is kidnapped, Clary is thrust into the world of demon-hunting. Clary relies on mysterious Jace and fellow hunters Isabelle and Alec to help her navigate the dark world. While living in this new world among creatures like vampires and werewolves, Clary's best friend Simon helps her uncover answers that could help her find her mother. The fantasy show is based on a series of young adult books by Cassandra Clare.

Shadowhunters may have given us a pretty dark episode, what with Jace turning out to be the person under the Owl's mysterious mask all along - more on that later - but at least it was tempered with some adorable domestic Malec moments.

It's rare to see a show who's final season is the best out of all and this is that one special gem. This show has visibly developed since season one into something a bit more mature and serious but it kept it's charm and lovability. Hard to see it got shut down at it's peak.

It’s a great show. tv shows can never be better than the books there’s too much left out so do not compare. This show left me wanting more. It has a bit of everything we experience in life ,love, drama , fantasy.. etc so watch it with an open mind. Definitely worth reviving for a future season 4

This is so bad ! I'm ashamed I've seen more than one episode even for some cute guys, and it's usually enough. Bac acting, badly written and the special effects on the swords particulary is a shame on itself.

If I had not read the books I think I would have enjoyed this series. Clary and jace are perfect to be honest and when I think of the books I think of them. The others however are nothing like the books. The Tv has added people raved swapped people. The story line has been changed so much from the books it's actually a SIN. When a story is this good it should be so easy to make a movie or to show from it. Who ever made this to show cannot read or literally tried to destroy the books. Please go read the books, even if audiobook. You will love this story of 6 books the story is amazing
