...this exhaustingly glitzy reboot...is essentially an over-the-top BGT, drenched in Hollywood gloss and without the rickety quality of Saturday night on ITV. Go to Full Review

It’s tough to say if Star Search will make a return. This is the third iteration of the franchise and, arguably, the least successful. But if it does, I hope to see a tighter format, higher levels of talent, and judges that actually makes sense. Go to Full Review

This reboot aims to blend nostalgia with modern interactivity but the result is a clunky and underwhelming viewing experience. Go to Full Review

Star Search won my reality TV talent show heart with live scoring of performers on-screen, with our remotes or keyboards. No app, no texting, no per-call fee, none of that. ... Star Search’s real misfire was the judging panel. Go to Full Review

We wish the new Star Search had some better pacing, and that the judges were a skosh tougher on the acts than they are. But for the most part we watched and voted along with the rest of the audience watching live, and rooted for those we liked. Go to Full Review

charles g D 1h So disappointing, the settings the stage, the small audience, the judges, and the most talented singer that’s been on the show was robbed !! 👎🏼👎🏼 See more None @Debbo650 Feb 7 Pretty cool performers. Only thing is Sarah??? How does she give a kid who picked better than any adult a 3. She has zero experience with music and should NOT be judging. See more Chris M. @cccmystic Jan 30 They must’ve lied to Jelly Roll lol he could do this with his own YouTube videos and make it 20 times better or just getting on a show like American Idol and it would be better. It took me 60 seconds of the pilot to know this was gonna be corny af. Good idea with the live voting with the remote, but this is just some geriatric shnnnnnnit. See more Sylvia W @Supersil Jan 30 The best thing about this show is Jelly Roll! He needs his own show. I was genuinely bored watching every single act. It was bad!! See more Kim P @Knitterchick Jan 26 From judges who aren’t qualified and don’t seem to want to give any criticism to mediocre talent, we tried the first show and were thoroughly disappointed and bored! I literally didn’t like any of the "talent" and the judges basically admitted they didn’t know enough about dance to judge it! I did like the voting tho. Didn’t watch episode 2. See more Lorie @Lp1979 Jan 23 I wanted to love this show because I loved the original show in the 80’s & 90’s, but this is just another America’s Got Talent, Voice or American Idol. The judges are terrible and have no associated talent other than the limited Jellyroll. I’m sorry, but being a dance mom or girl dad is not a qualification to determine if a young person has talent.
