Melanie McFarland Seattle Post-Intelligencer The L Word isn't all foolishness this season. Mar 6, 2019 Full Review Chelsea Brady New York Magazine/Vulture The show stayed loyal and true to itself, too: affixing quick and easy resolutions to complex story lines, casting aside little things like character development, and keeping our "oh, please - that's absolutely ridiculous!" drinking game going strong. Jun 29, 2018 Full Review Nicholas Fonseca Entertainment Weekly Showtime's lesbian drama, veers, as they all have, between entertaining and infuriating with its sexy/silly mix of high drama and higher camp. Rated: B Jun 28, 2018 Full Review MTV Staff MTV For many fans, the highlight of the season has been the apparent bringing together again of Tina and Bette, an outcome fervently wished for by writers of slash fiction. Asrini M Season 5 of *The L Word* brings heightened drama, steamy romances, and some of the most memorable moments of the series. It expertly builds on the complexities of the characters' relationships while delving into themes of loyalty, betrayal, and personal growth. While some plotlines feel overly melodramatic, the season remains engaging thanks to its bold storytelling and the chemistry of the cast. A compelling penultimate season that keeps fans invested in the lives of these dynamic characters.
