When nuclear Armageddon destroys civilization on Earth, the only survivors are those on the 12 international space stations in orbit at the time. Three generations later, the 4,000 survivors living on a space ark of linked stations see their resources dwindle and face draconian measures established to ensure humanity's future. Desperately looking for a solution, the ark's leaders send 100 juvenile prisoners back to the planet to test its habitability. Having always lived in space, the exiles find the planet fascinating and terrifying, but with the fate of the human race in their hands, they must forge a path into the unknown.

Josh W The third season is my least favorite but thats not to say its bad. The plot is not terrible I just don"t believe it was executed to its full potential. Bellamy gang rise up. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/02/25 Full Review Chet U This is the worst season of the series. It is great to learn more about the world of the grounders. Then they like to kill off beloved characters. But really everything about this season is terrible. They shove in a love story for one episode just to give a main character a motivation that is wholly unbelievable. Actually the entire motivation of nearly every single character throughout this season is ridiculous. I could not wait for this season to be over and have considered completely skipping it when giving the series a re-watch.
