The Buccaneers still has moments of appealing vim, but it leaves a sneaking suspicion that other shows are capable of doing what it does with much more assurance and wit.  Go to Full Review

The Buccaneers remains a fun and unpredictable watch—even when you’re tearing your hair out over these young, often flighty characters’ choices. Go to Full Review

The commitment to telling strong stories that empower the female cast is what made The Buccaneers rise in its second season, with high drama, and lasting consequences. Go to Full Review

Season 2 begins with a strong and thoroughly compelling premiere that gorgeously sets the stage, but that’s unfortunately where its sophomore season charm ends. Go to Full Review

Overall, Season 2 of The Buccaneers is a fitting continuation of its first season and successfully manages to explore the existing themes introduced in season 1, but also introduces new and exciting ones in order to keep the story feeling fresh and new. Go to Full Review

Laila L @Tillly_watxhes Feb 8 I hate this show with passion. The show is about finding love right but it seems like every time the characters has something good going it’s ruined. They are not friends nor does the show ever truly show them being friends. I liked the movie so much better. The script is bad, them killing off Richard made even worse. And the duke and nana give me break I had enough of the show it needs to cancelled their is no real chemistry between any of these characters and the acting sucks I hate that they are American because when they speak I get cringed out immediately. It’s not a good show I can’t stress this enough and the only good thing that they did was add lgbtqia couple and Richard and his wife(forgot her name) . See more Kathryn K Sep 28 Loved it. Brilliant story, acting and talent. See more slay g @Peachysgreeny Sep 17 This season is mess but fun to watch there are so many happened in this season but the only good thing came out from this season is theo and lizzy had a thing loving so much theirs chemistry but for me some the characters seems downgrade especially nan and guy and wth with the plot guy-paloma that so unnecessary plot. If there is s3 i hope they keeping theo and lizzy as a couple and let down some unnecessary plot. See more Andrei D Aug 31 It becomes dumber as it moves toward an unsatisfying conclusion See more michele b @Michelekay Aug 31 The second season was virtually unwatchable. What happened to the plot lines, character chemistry and overall feeling the show had. What a huge disappointment. Absolutely do not recommend it. See more Tobias K @Tobiassssssss Aug 24 Better than the first season in some aspects, but finding a couple of new lows on the way. It's less focused on Nan and gives the remaining characters more room to breathe. Also it's sweet to have a 50+ lovestory (Theo's mum) in the midst of all these twentysomethings flirting their way through it all. But while the visuals and the music do their very best, with a capable cast, in terms of writing it's harder to connect with the new episodes. While Nan's search for her mother comes to an end, it barely has an impact on her, before it suddenly can be used again in the penultimate episode, underselling its importance. Some soap-like twists along the way put me off as well. See more Read all reviews
