Crítica: The Last of Us (1ª Temporada) – Quando a adaptação esquece quem a amou primeiro
A escolha do elenco é o primeiro golpe.
No fim, The Last of Us (série) não é o jogo.

A fun take on the orignal game with some small non important changes. Was somewhat rushed, and would've benefited from the longevity the game offered to really connect with the characters. Good overall.

As someone who playd The Last Of Us Part I, I can safely say that this adpatation is just good. It has some GREAT episodes and I love a lot of actors who are in it. They took the freedom of even adding some plots that weren't in the original work, and they turned out to be AWESOME. My only BIG problem with this first season is Bella Ramsey. I see you coming and telling that I'm saying that for her facial features. I'm not. I loved Ellie (played by Ashley Johnson) in the game (as I'm sure we all did). But Bella just doesn't have Ellie's vibe in my opinion. She looks nothing like her, she has got less charisma, less attitude, and simply doesn't resembles Ellie, not pshysically, but mentally. Is it due to a bad direction? Or simply a bad casting. Bella is a great actress and doesn't deserve the hate she is getting (I loved her in Game Of Thrones). But that BIG whole in the show cannot make it earn more than those 3,5 stars.

While the miscasting wasn't my biggest issue, the unnecessary character changes were frustrating - these beloved figures felt altered for no good reason. You eventually adjust, but some story changes were downright terrible. An example: Completely rewriting Ellie's encounter with Bill. In the game, we learn Frank couldn't handle life with Bill and died trying to escape. The show replaced this masterpiece of storytelling with... nothing meaningful.
Yes, the ending ultimately worked, but getting there felt jarring and unearned. This adaptation proves why you don't mess with perfection - they should've honored the original story's brilliance.
PS: Save yourself - Season 2 Episode 1 is an absolute trainwreck with nothing worth seeing. Between the baffling creative decisions and sloppy execution, it's the definition of wasted potential.
