Barry Julien created a lasting impression on television audiences after being honored with an Emmy. Julien worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "George and Martha" (HBO, 1998-2000) and "The Audrey Hepburn Story" (ABC, 1999). Julien was nominated for an Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series Primetime Emmy Award for "The Colbert Report" in 2009 as well as for an Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series Primetime Emmy Award for "The Colbert Report" in 2011. Julien won an Outstanding Writing For a Variety, Music or Comedy Program Primetime Emmy Award for "The Colbert Report" in 2008 as well as an Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series Primetime Emmy Award for "The Colbert Report" in 2010. He went on to act in "A Diva's Christmas Carol" (2000-01), "Gleason" (CBS, 2002-03) and "I Do (But I Don't)" (Lifetime, 2004-05). More recently, Julien acted in the dramatic adaptation "The Last Kiss" (2006) with Zach Braff.
