Ben Ketai
An American filmmaker and producer who works most often in the horror and sci-fi genres, Ben Ketai began his career in the entertainment industry by scripting "Tales from the Grudge," a 2006 short which belonged to "The Grudge" film series. The next year, Ketai wrote another horror short, the vampire chiller "Suck," which also served as his directorial debut. Also in 2007, Ketai scripted and produced the eerie short "30 Days of Night: Blood Trails," which expanded on the main plot of the disturbing vampire film "30 Days of Night." In yet another 2007 project, Ketai also wrote "Devil's Trade," a supernatural web series. Ketai then continued to explore the world of "30 Days of Night," directing and writing the 2008 effort "30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust," a further web series that elaborated on the initial feature film. Two years later, Ketai served as executive producer on the SyFy channel program "The Resistance," a dystopian actioner. With the help of horror-comedy pioneer Sam Raimi, Ketai also produced the Internet series "Zombie Roadkill," an affair influenced by Raimi's offbeat early work. Ketai directed his first feature-length film in 2010 as well, returning to the "30 Days of Night" franchise once more with the straight-to-video sequel "30 Days of Night: Dark Days."
