Veteran director of photography of the British film and TV industry, Stafford lensed more than 30 feature films after World War II. His feature credits include "Eight O'Clock Walk" (1952), a courtroom drama starring Richard Attenborough, and "The Promise" (1969) with Ian McKellen. Stafford also had a vast number of credits in British TV, most notably on cult favorites such as Patrick McGoohan's "Secret Agent" and "The Prisoner" as well as "The Saint" and "Space: 1999."
