Iain Hollands
Iain Hollands was a British writer who was best known for creating the comedy-drama series "Beaver Falls" (E4, 2011-12). Born and raised in the U.K., Hollands rose to prominence in 2011 when "Beaver Falls," about a high-class California summer camp where some of the wealthiest children in the America stay, was picked up by the E4 network. Despite mixed reviews, the show ran for two seasons on the network, but was ultimately cancelled in 2012 due to low ratings. Undeterred, Hollands continued to write and in 2015 he sold a disaster comedy pilot to NBC called "Apocalypse Slough" (NBC, 2015- ). The series follows several friends living in a small town who suddenly learn that an enormous comet is headed towards Earth. But rather than sit back and accept their fate, the friends watch the world come to a climactic end on TV. Hollands co-wrote the pilot and several of the episodes with Sarah Dollard. Several big name TV actors signed to appear in the series, including Jenna Fischer, Megan Mullally and Rob Lowe.
