Ian Praiser

Ian Praiser was an American television writer and producer most renowned for his work on the television shows "Taxi" and "Bosom Buddies." Praiser started out by penning a script for the sitcom "Rhoda" in 1977 and soon became a regular writer on the ensemble comedy "Taxi," eventually working on the popular series as a producer as well. During the early '80s, he also contributed to Tom Hanks-starring comedy "Bosom Buddies" as a writer and producer. After penning episodes for the short-lived '84 comedy series "Domestic Life," Praiser went to work on the alien-themed sitcom "ALF," primarily as a producer, and later joined the creative team of the mid-'90s comedy "Caroline in the City." Following his departure from that series, Praiser was briefly involved in the shows "Suddenly Susan" and "Love Boat: The Next Wave," a reboot of the popular late-'70s show, but was largely inactive in the years before his death in 2006.
