J.D. Vance
Born James David Vance on August 2, 1984, in Middletown, Ohio, Vance grew up in a working-class family in Appalachia. Vance studied political science at Ohio State University and earned a law degree from Yale Law School. After graduating, he worked as a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley before returning to Ohio, where he entered politics. In 2022, Vance ran for the U.S. Senate as a Republican and won, representing the state of Ohio. In addition to his work in politics, Vance has made numerous television and podcast appearances, such as "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (NBC, 2014) and "Keep it" (2021), and has written articles for various publications. Although previously an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, JD Vance accepted the nomination to be Donald Trump's running mate in the 2024 U.S. Presidential election.
