Kay Starr
Kay Starr brought her musical talents to a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Glenn Miller Band Reunion" (1988-89), "Those Fabulous 40's" (PBS, 1991-92) and "America in the Forties" (PBS, 1997-98). Starr also contributed music to the adventurous drama "The Right Stuff" (1983) with Sam Shepard. In the nineties and the early 2000s, Starr's music mostly appeared in films like the crime drama "L.A. Confidential" (1997) with Kevin Spacey and the drama sequel "Rumor Has It..." (2005) with Jennifer Aniston. Starr's music was featured in the Henry Czerny horror film "Fido" (2007) and "Married Life" (2008) with Pierce Brosnan. Starr's music was most recently featured in the Leonardo DiCaprio box office smash thrilling adaptation "Shutter Island" (2010).
