Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats
Nathaniel David Rateliff was born on October 7, 1978, in Bay, MO, and grew up between Hermann, MO and Denver, CO. At a young age, he began investing his time and energy into the practice and creation of music, even teaching himself how to play guitar and write songs. In Denver, Rateliff formed the band Nathaniel Rateliff and the Wheel, whose debut album was Desire and Dissolving Men (2007). He'd continue to create music publicly as a solo artist, releasing In Memory of Loss (2010)-which introduced the successful single "You Should've Seen the Other Guy"-and Shroud EP. Around the same time, Rateliff began finding high profile gigs opening for The Fray, appearing on the television program "Later...with Jools Holland" (BBC 1992-), and performing at the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election Debates. Rateliff released another solo album, Falling Faster Than You Can Run (2013), before the professional debut of his band Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, also featuring Joseph Pope III and Patrick Meese. The band released their eponymous album and made their television debut on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" (NBC 2014-) in 2015, performing their national breakthrough single "S.O.B." Rateliff's second album with the Night Sweats, Tearing at the Seams, came out in March 2018.
