Nick Brimble
The British actor Nick Brimble began his career in the 1970s on the TV circuit, taking parts in numerous series, including "Mr. Big," "You're on Your Own," and "The Sweeney." In the 1980s, Brimble was a familiar face on British television; he could be seen in a handful of shows and TV movies every year. It wasn't until 1990, though, that Brimble got his first big break in film. That year, the towering Brimble played the Monster in "Frankenstein Unbound," Roger Corman's adaptation of 1973 novel of the same name. The sci-fi film also stars John Hurt, Raul Julia, and Bridget Fonda. The next year, Brimble won what for many is his most iconic role--Little John in "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves." Brimble left an indelible mark as the formidable leader of the forest outlaws and eventual companion to Robin Hood. After his brief but successful run in major Hollywood productions, he continued to balance television and film roles, including parts in 1996's "Loch Ness" and 1997's "Gone Fishin'." In 2000, he played one of the leads, Carl Farrell, in the supernatural horror film "Seven Days to Live." Brimble was predictably consistent in the 2000s, appearing in nearly a dozen films and countless TV shows. One of his more memorable roles of that decade was as Sir Ector in the 2001 medieval action film "A Knight's Tale." Brimble has built up a tremendous resume of over 100 movie roles and television appearances during the course of his career, which spans more than 40 years.
