Richard Rust
Richard Rust was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Rust had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "The Legend of Tom Dooley" (1959), "Comanche Station" (1960) with Randolph Scott and the Rita Moreno crime flick "This Rebel Breed" (1960). He also appeared in the thriller "Homicidal" (1961) with Glen Corbett and the drama "Underworld, U.S.A." (1961) with Cliff Robertson. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Sam Benedict" (NBC, 1962-63). He continued to act in productions like the action flick "Taras Bulba" (1962) with Bill F Calvert, "Walk on the Wild Side" (1962) and "Alvarez Kelly" (1966). He also appeared in the drama "The Student Nurses" (1970) with Elaine Giffos, the Jim Brown drama "I Escaped From Devil's Island" (1973) and the action film "Savage Red - Outlaw White" (1974) with Robert Padilla. During the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the Robert Padilla adventure "The Great Gundown" (1977), the Sean Penn action movie "Colors" (1988) and the Daryl Haney action picture "Daddy's Boys" (1988). He also appeared in the action movie "Double Revenge" (1988) with Leigh McCloskey and "The Last Movie" (1988) with Dennis Hopper. Rust most recently worked on the comedy "Edtv" (1999) with Matthew McConaughey.
