Tabatha Coffey
With her exceptional skills as a hairstylist, keen business savvy, and razor-sharp honesty, Tabatha Coffey was undoubtedly the perfect choice to host the hit reality series "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" (Bravo, 2008- ), where she helped struggling owners revive their salons. Coffey was born on May 17, 1969 in Queensland, Australia. Her mother and brother, who both worked as stylists in their hometown, introduced Coffey to their world. At 14, the future TV personality worked as an assistant in a local hair salon before attending a four-year apprenticeship program. After training for several years in London, England, Coffey opened Industrie Hair Gurus, her own salon located in Ridgewood, NJ. She quickly developed a reputation for her "transformative" work, creating special looks for her clients versus just specializing in a certain look or style. After several years of fine-tuning her skills, Coffey expanded her brand and started traveling around the world to educate stylists as a representative of the Joico International hair products line. She also lent her expertise to the Warren-Tricomi salon in Hollywood and began styling photo shoots for beauty magazines like Marie Claire and Seventeen.
