Walter J I was fortunate enough to be a teenager working at the theater when this first came out. It was amazing and still is Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Caitlin W Anyone who doesn’t love this movie is nuts Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Cina P I love this freaking movie. Seeing it again tonight in the theater for the 25th anniversary 😍 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Don K Perfect combination of Action, Comedy, and Horror. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Арианна А The film was released on May 7, 1999. This film is directed by Steven Sommers. The success of the film spawned two direct sequels: "The Mummy Returns" (2001) and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" (2008). The genre of the film is an action adventure. It has it all: ancient curses, an embalmed high priest, two warring parties searching for archaeological treasures, and dashing legionnaire Brendan Fraser, in love with prim librarian Rachel Weisz. "The Mummy" is an exciting, thrilling and terrifying epic about an expedition of explorers in search of treasures in the Sahara Desert in 1925. Having stumbled upon an ancient tomb, hunters unwittingly release a 3,000-year-old legacy of horror embodied in the vengeful reincarnation of an Egyptian priest who was killed. condemned to eternity as one of the living dead. The acting is very good. Starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, John Hanna and Arnold Voslu. The special effects are very good and harmonious. I really liked the film, it's not boring and has an interesting script. Not a bad storyline. I advise you to take a look. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/25/24 Full Review Lee B There's no excuse for critics giving this a mediocre rating, and even audience rating at 75% is too low and unacceptable Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

David Hunter Hollywood Reporter Far more ambitious than its predecessors but a notch or two below the unique event-movie experience it might have been. Apr 14, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Despite a few grisly concepts (obscured by PG-13 constraints), the mostly ineffective stabs at humor continue, rather incessantly, to drown out the action and horror.
