John Anderson Wall Street Journal The best moments in the program said a lot about the comedy process, the wisdom of experience, the gift of being extemporaneously funny. May 9, 2024 Full Review Kelly Lawler USA Today It's nice to know there's still room in Hollywood to be really freaking weird. At least if you're John Mulaney. Rated: 3/4 May 9, 2024 Full Review Ed Power Daily Telegraph (UK) Helmed by a less astute presenter, Everybody’s in LA might have been a disaster. Instead, it’s a rickety curio recommended strictly for those interested in coyotes, grumpy comedians or Americans with outstanding hair. Rated: 2/5 May 7, 2024 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider Even if this series is not Mulaney’s way of sounding the horn on his intentions to either become a permanent talk-show host... the next five live episodes from May 6-10 are bound to be fun viewing experiences, whether or not you can watch them live. Laurie-Faith G If you like Mulaney's comedy, you will certainly like this. If you don't, you still might like this. If you are bored and scrolling for something to watch, you certainly won't be more bored after watching this onslaught of the bizarre. The thing I love best about John Mulaney’s #EverybodysInLA is that he uses Wang Chung’s theme song from TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A. as his own. I hope “the kids” rediscover that soundtrack because it’s an all-time banger. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/09/24 Full Review Sara D First off, this show is not going to be for everyone- that’s for sure. It’s weird, it’s awkward, it’s kinda pointless and I think it does it all hilariously. I could actually do without some of the guests because the talking over people is a thing that drives me insane and comedians seem to all do this to each other. But the montages of life in LA I think are brilliant and I don’t even live there. If you like quirky, dry, irrelevant humor you’ll be pleased. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Kate H Weird, and I like it. He should probably give some direction to the guests & crew tho. Not introducing the tree guy or Mae Martin while they are on camera was pretty brutal to watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Roger B Even Jerry Seinfeld as a guest couldn’t save this show. Just awful Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Fred N Ugh. Rough learning curve for live segments. No excuse for pre-recorded stuff being bad. Not sure why they want to do this, but needs a lot of work.
