Brittany Vincent Decider Blood of Zeus Season 2 is every bit as captivating, mature, and exciting as the first season, with even more reasons to become invested this time around. May 13, 2024 Full Review Daniel Kurland BubbleBlabber Blood of Zeus is bigger, bolder, and more brutal in its second season. It’s a sublime follow-up to the series’ first act that demonstrates how it still has plenty to say and is only getting started. Rated: 8.5/10 May 12, 2024 Full Review Grace Randolph Beyond the Trailer Another great season from the Blood of Zeus team! Very entertaining for fans of Greek Mythology and adult animation. Great action and even better dialogue. Very interesting modernization of the source material, and a great binge. May 12, 2024 Full Review Daniel Hart Ready Steady Cut With the creators Charley and Vlas Parlapanides stating they have five seasons planned, it’s abundantly obvious that they have storyboarded this series with care and love. You can feel it in the animation but also in the weighted and nuanced script. Rated: 4/5 May 11, 2024 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies The tragedy of Hades and Persephone’s love story really caught me off guard because (...) it commented on how bigoted parents and a sick society will always put their differences aside to come together and harass a couple that they don’t approve of. Rated: 4/5 May 11, 2024 Full Review Elijah Gonzalez Paste Magazine We finally have a follow-up season that largely matches and, in many cases, surpasses its predecessor thanks to compelling bad guys, improved visuals, and similarly clever allusions to age-old narratives. Just M This show is by far the best Greek mythology depiction I’ve ever watched, I can’t wait for season 3! Hopefully it’s not a long wait. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/17/24 Full Review Lee Y Does everything the first season did and amps it all up (the drama, the jeopardy, the mythology and the world building), yet somehow manages to avoid falling into the realm of the ridiculous! Awesome TV! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review taw 5 I binged the first season in one night and was excited when a season 2 had a release date. Once again the animation and sound is fantastic. The story felt a bit more bogged down this season but the character background and development was welcomed. Unlike the previous season, there isn't a clear villain in this season, just gods acting selfishly after the death of Zeus which brings a different feel to how we're looking at the various characters. Even Hades has more sympathetic approach compared to other renditions of his character. With all the back story the season felt short. I'm not a fan of the 30 minute 8 episode seasons. However, it has been confirmed for a 3rd season and the creators have said it won't be a massive wait we had between seasons 1 and 2 for season 3 to arrive. Hopefully they're right as this show is quite enjoyable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review jake e I didn't think season 2 would be as good as 1, but they did it again. The audio and animation in this show are a master class for all studios, minus Sony and studio Ghibli. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Audience Member I actually hate season 2. I mean, I don't mind some creative libraries, but I can't stand how they completely changed hades and Persephone's relationship. I mean, yes im not a fan of the Hades X Persephone relationship and I fined when people try (and fail like season 2 does) to put it in a positive light it is very cringe and off putting. Honestly, I wish the show as a whole was more accurate to the actual mythology. Yeah there is no character in the mythology named Heron and I'm fine with creating a orginal character/characters to tell a orginal story with in the mythology but characters from that mythology should be left source material accurate and season 2 changes too much and bugs me too much. I really think they should just stop here....and Heron is still a pretty boring and bland protagonist Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Pia Q Looking forward to watching how this fantastic, highly mystic and magical anime ends🏛️✨ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
