Audience Member I don't normally write reviews on here but this steaming pile of dog poop angered me so much that I felt the need to protect others from watching this. woooooow. Saying this movie was horrendous would be a gross understatement. Ok where to even begin? A basic white boy has "Superpowers" where if someone physically hurts him, the person they love the most feels pain. OK. In this superhero-obsessed culture we live in, not a terrible plot idea. Well that story is basically 5% of the movie. The rest of the time is focused on bizarre characters who add nothing to the story. A weird old guy stealing money from people, a priest who literally gets a blow job by old guy's wife for no reason, and some basic brunette who has a ~dream~ of becoming ~more~ and falls for the basic white boy *cue deep eye roll* I don't know what happened here, but you can tell the people working on it actually thought they were making a great masterpiece, which makes the whole thing even more depressing/hilarious. It's obvious that the writer/director has a very warped perception of reality. And not in a cool, quirky Darren Arronofsky kind of way. More in a scary, lame Tommy Wiseau kind of way. It feels like the Director just took his penis and creamed his male toxicity all over the screen while trying to send some sort message. What that message was supposed to be, I don't know. What the message became was literally anyone can make a movie. It doesn't take much talent to put something out in the world and call it a movie. Don't waste your time. Watch Something (ANYTHING) else. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
