      Audience Member Read the book seven to ten years ago. Loved it. The movie was ok for what it is. I understand the idea--that standing together and changing times made a difference in how blacks would be treated in the South, but the screenplay here was not as powerful as The Biography of Miss Jane Pittman, and it meanders around quite a bit.
