Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Ajay Bahl's directorial debut lays out a plot with promise, but then belies it, by not giving us as much as it could, and should have. Rated: 2/5 Mar 19, 2019 Full Review Anna M.M. Vetticad annavetticadgoes2themovies In many ways, B.A. Pass is a pathbreaking Hindi film. It presents to us aspects of sexual exploitation rarely visited by Hindi cinema. But the promising build-up of the first half is not matched by the denouement. Audience Member I'm a modern Indian and lived this movie. I stopped watching Bollywood flicks over a decade ago. I want to see more of these types of movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member A good erotic thriller. worth a watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A huge step forward for Indian cinema, Shilpa Shukla is fantastic and the story had so many twists and turns, I was on the edge of my seat. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member B.A Pass is an Indian drama about a young boy that ends up living with his aunt after a family member dies and his grandpa pays towards his expenses and he finishes his studies. While living with his aunt he meets this family friend of a higher class Indian socialite and his aunt tells him one morning to go over to her place and get a crate of apples and then sell them or something. The whole story starts from there he fall in the web of seduction and sex and he basically becomes a jigalo. He digs a deep hole for himself and he cannot get out of it. The movie is not for all audiences no kids allowed. This is no Bollywood flick as there are no musical numbers in this straight drama. The performances were good and real enough. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member a hindu film about a young man who is seduce by a neighbor who marriage has lost its strenght but instead of teaching this man she turns him into a prostitute by making him believe that she will help him when his family situation. when everything goes south who can he truly believe will be there for him and who is just there for the fun. good storyline. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Some movies are not about happy endings. Almost from the get go, you can see the inevitable crash coming, but you can't look away.... it's a dark, slow, torpid film, caught in a sticky humid syrup of closed doors and lost opportunities. Shilpa S is absolutely awesome, and almost as good as the Shadab. It's a film for a minute of introspection, at a time when there's plenty of time to spare - and a sense of, by the smallest few margins, could have been me.
