In this zany sequel, time-traveling duo Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown return from saving Marty's future son from disaster, only to discover their own time transformed. In this nightmarish version of Hill Valley, Marty's father has been murdered and Biff Tannen, Marty's nemesis, has profited. Back to the Future Part II left the biggest mark on popular culture, sparking imagination and inspiring more adventure. Whatever its flaws or negativity it inspired from fans of the first movie, it remains the defining entry in the series.

A very entertaining sequel that's all over the place, but mostly succeeds with a high amount of creativity and ambition. I love all the world building and predictions for the good future timeline and all the alternate versions of Marty and Biff. I love how much chaos occurs just from Old Biff giving young Biff the sports almanac to change the future (a hilarious scene btw). I love all the fun future predictions of 2015. The movie has fun playing around with different timelines and different generations. I was baffled when Doc Brown IMMEDIATELY knocks out Jennifer so they can write her out for the movie because "writing women is hard". Thankfully, the rest of the movie is pretty solid. Thomas F Wilson is hilarious and doing overtime arguing with different versions of himself. Most of the climax is just amusingly repeating scenes from the first movie. The Cliffhanger is amazing. It's a little messy, but the movie is very ambitious and creative and the highs easily outweigh the lows.
