      Audience Member Captivating film... but television like film. IF you like Telly Savalas of KOJAK television fame. Here Dr. Savalas tries to be KOJAK, only in a mental ward. Written, directed and starring. The orginator of the idea of TOUGH LOVE, our lead actor and really the only real actor in this film believes in a tough love, one that stops being polite. The professor feels compassion is the only real tool to help the insane. He discards training,books, degrees, and all the other trappings of higher learning. But he himself has one human failing... he gets caught up in one of his students. A passion for justice, the doctor tries to see the patient's side of things. As disturbed as they are, he tends to be more compassionate than analytical. The film is pretty crude as a movie. It tends to be a made for television film... but if you can ignore that than this is in fact a pretty good movie.
